The location is excellent! Two blocks from the beach, harbor and breakwater. The property was a tiny little townhouse from 1928, and we couldn’t resist buying it and turning it into a beautiful home away from home.
Single family home with private backyard with deck. A charming place named West Beach. You can walk 2 blocks to the beach, harbor and breakwater. The location is great. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully designed. Warm bamboo floors, soothing paint colors inspired by pearly aqua green and the ocean blue of an abalone shell interior. The living room has a fireplace with gas inputs and a flat screen TV with DISH Network. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed and all modern conveniences. The cottage has a large master bedroom with French doors to the backyard deck and a full bathroom with double sinks and a bathtub. The second bathroom has a shower. Air conditioning newly installed in 2018! Located 15 minutes north of downtown Santa Barbara, between the Pacific Ocean and Santa Ynez Mountains, El Capitan Canyon is a gorgeous resort nestled among ancient sycamore trees that open onto El Capitan Beach. Canyon offers a unique experience – one that is close to nature, but with a level of comfort unmatched in the world of outdoor remodeling.

The cedar cabins at El Capitan are fully furnished cabins featuring vaulted ceilings and French doors that open to views of the running creek. These cabins come complete with king, queen, or double beds, full baths, wet bars, mini refrigerators, central heating, linens, and private outdoor fire pit grills. Cabins vary in size and bed configurations, making them ideal for families, small groups, and couples.
For visitors who like to hike – El Capitan Canyon offers adventure. Accommodating up to 4 people, the yurt includes a vaulted alcove (perfect for evening stargazing), a queen bed and a twin daybed with armoire, linens, mini-refrigerator, and microwave. Outside the house, you’ll find a bathroom, picnic table, and fire pit.
From the resort, guests can find 15 miles of private hiking trails that take hikers along the Central Coast. The most popular trail – the Selma Rubin Trail – takes visitors to a llama and goat farm. There are also many more advanced tracks. For those who prefer biking to hiking, El Capitan Canyon offers adult beach cruises for all guests, free of charge. They can be used to explore the resort and its surroundings. There is also a heated pool and children’s playground in the valley grounds.
To get supplies during your stay, El Capitan Canyon has a Canyon Market. This market is very different from your typical camp store. Here guests can find Santa Barbara wine, candles, organic foods, sunscreen, and outdoor/adventure products. The
