There is both criticism and praise for the US military system, but the praise is more for the people who served in the war and the sacrifices they made than for the system as a whole. It’s easy to see that Briggs and veterans like him have been abandoned by a system that took so much time, effort and life. Like Lulu, he has no support system and they are both dealing with the effects of the trauma. Lulu may be evil, but she’s also afraid of thunderstorms while Briggs suffers from migraines and can’t look straight at times.

A fun and enjoyable way to spend 90 minutes. That said, Lulu has been trained to attack anyone wearing Middle Eastern clothing or anyone who makes her feel threatened, so there’s a sinister feeling when she himself and Briggs near others. She’s like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off, which we understand but she certainly won’t attack anyone she can.
It’s a movie that will make you laugh and cry because these two broken characters are able to heal each other. It’s sweet without being too sentimental and overall just a good movie. 3/5.

It has happened that every few years I look at the list of the most watched actors on Letterboxd and see what conclusions I can draw.
It’s interesting to see how much has changed since I did this in 2017 and 2019. Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Statham, Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman have been the top 4 most watched actors of all time since it started I look at these statistics.
A quarter of this year’s most watched actors are women. Most of the actors on this list. Kristen Stewart, Anna Kendrick and Anne Hathaway appear here for the first time. I definitely want to see more women here and I wouldn’t be surprised if Kristen Stewart in particular manages to stay here since I have about half a dozen of her movies on my watch list from various streaming services.
There are also six actors of color, two more than last year, with Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie appearing for the first time on this list. It’s not surprising because both are actors who watch movies just because they’re in them.

Including Anton Yelchin on this list is kind of bittersweet. Over the past year, I’ve seen a lot of his movies that I’ve never seen before, so it helps to put him on this list. And while he still has more than a dozen movies to watch, there will come a time when he can’t stay on this list simply because he’s no longer with us and he’s making movies when other actors are around.
Every time I do this, this top 20 list seems to get more and more competitive. The actors with the fewest watches in 2019 were Rachel Weisz, Jim Broadbent, Maggie Smith, and Channing Tatum, all with 24. Washington, Liam Neeson, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Anna Kendrick, Anthony Mackie , Anton Yelchin, Kristen Stewart 27 movies each.
It will be interesting to see who is still on this list two years from now. For example, John Goodman is still in place as he was in 2019, but I haven’t seen one of his new movies in two years. He often plays supporting characters and sometimes appears in the most random movies, so it’s easy to see why I haven’t watched more of his movies, but also, I wouldn’t be surprised if can stick to the list.
My prediction for 2023 is that Samuel L. Jackson and Jason Statham will still be the most watched actors, but Idris Elba will overtake Morgan Freeman. I think Kristen Stewart will remain on my top 20 most watched actors and I wish more women could join her on this list. Otherwise, who knows what will happen in two years!
