Drexel University Computer Science Ranking – Drexel University’s College of Computing and Informatics (CCI), formerly the College of Information Science and Technology or iSchool, is one of Drexel University’s major colleges in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The College of Computing and Informatics has faculty and administrative offices, research laboratories, co-educational spaces, and classrooms at 3675 Market Street (University City Campus). Its current dean is Yi Dg.
CCI was created in September 2013 by merging the former College of Information Science and Technology (iSchool), the Department of Informatics and the Department of Computing and Security Technology. It is part of the iSchools Caucus, and the former College of Information Science and Technology was one of the three founding members of the iSchool Caucus.

Master’s Degree Finder
The College of Computing and Informatics offers six undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS), Data Science (BSDS), Information Technology (BSIT), Software Engineering (BSSE), Computing and Security, Informatics (CS), and the BS/MS Accelerated Degree Program, which allows students to complete bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years. Most undergraduates take advantage of Drexel’s long-standing co-op program to gain real-world work experience before graduation.
The college also has a Mtor Peer Program in which incoming undergraduate students are assigned mtors who are current studs in CCI programs. Any student who meets the criteria can apply for Mtor Fellow after the first year and can participate in the selection process.
The college offers master’s programs including Master’s in Information with specialization in Library and Information Science and Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience, Master’s Program in Data Science (MSDS), Master’s Program in Information Systems (MSIS), Master’s Program of Science in Software Production (MSSE), Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS), Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (MSAIML), online Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI) and a joint program with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Production Drexel College of Engineering, Master of Science in Cybersecurity (MSC).
In addition to these specialized programs, a dual degree (MS/MSIS) is offered in a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MS) and a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program. The university also awards PhD degrees in information science and informatics,
Online Ms In Software Engineering
The iSchool previously hosted the Pennsylvania Governor’s School of Information, Society and Technology (PGSIST) from 1998 until 2008, when PGSIST was canceled due to statewide budget cuts. The program included an entire rich summer scholarship program aimed at meeting the educational needs of academically gifted high school students through a five-week program at the university.
Developed jointly by the former iSchool and the Department of Computer Science, Drexel is now home to the Drexel University Computing Academy (DUCA). DUCA is a five-week program that allows high school sophomores and juniors with an interest in computing not only to learn about various topics in computing, but also to work on group projects, experience university life by living on campus, and get involved. in various activities in and around Philadelphia.
In 2007, the academy was ranked 5th nationally for specialized programs in information systems and 6th nationally for professional programs in digital librarianship. Overall, the library and information science program was ranked 11th in the fields of library and information studies.
In 2009, US News & World Report ranked the iSchool, the graduate library and information science program in the College of Information Technology, 9th in the field of library and information studies.

In 2013, US News & World Report ranked the iSchool, College of Information and Technology’s library and information science graduate program 10th in the nation for master’s programs in library science as part of its 2014 edition of “America’s Best Graduate Schools.”

Old college facilities include the Rush Building at the corner of 33rd Street and Lancaster Avue. The Hospital for the Treatment of Consumption and Allied Diseases was built in 1904 and named after Benjamin Rush, a famous 18th-century Philadelphia physician and one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Between 1978 and 1981, the Rush building was turned around so that it could only be used by the library and information programs. The project cost $2.4 million, $1 million of which came from a grant from the Pew Charitable Trusts. In 2006, the entrance hall was rebuilt and the alumni guard was expanded. In 2008, the Computer Resource Center (a computer lab for IST students only) was remodeled and launched into iCommons.
Getting To Know: Northeastern University (ma)
In April 2019, the college combined faculty, staff and student facilities and moved to leased premises at uCity Square, a complex of buildings in University City. State-of-the-art offices and classrooms were dedicated to the College of Computing and Informatics on two floors of the building at 3675 Market Street. On May 2, 2019, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to officially open the space.
In September 2019, the third floor was joined by DXC’s Technology Innovation Lab, makerspace, research lab, and additional offices and classrooms for faculty and studios. The 9th, 10th and 11th floors are currently occupied by CCI.
