The cheapest time to fly to Hawaii is during the off-season. Tickets to Hawaii are generally more expensive during high season and during major holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years. If you like to plan your vacation in those months when ticket demand is low, you should definitely try to do so.
In our opinion, the best time to avoid crowds and find the cheapest tickets to the Big Island is between mid-April and May and in September and October.
