Welcome to Los Angeles, USA! Your tour begins with a welcome reception at the salon today at 6:00 p.m. It is important that you attend the welcome meeting as we will collect insurance and other information during this time. If you are going to be late please inform the travel agent or reception.
If you can’t book a flight that arrives on time, you’ll need to arrive early to be able to leave. We will be happy to book your other accommodation (subject to availability). If you arrive early, walk the Hollywood Walk of Fame, check out Downtown LA’s food markets, or visit one of the area’s many parks. After the reception, take a stroll through Venice Beach and Santa Monica for some people-watching, and maybe a group dinner along the way.

Amtrak Coast Starlight From Los Angeles To San Francisco
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and drive to Joshua Tree National Park. Located between the Mojave and Colorado deserts, this park is famous for its amazing desert flora, cacti and thorn trees, unique rocks and U2’s best album. After wandering through the park, head to Lake Havasu on the Colorado River (on the Arizona border) and check into your hotel for the night. You might want to go for a stroll through the city, learn the history behind the iconic London Bridge, or take a dip in the Colorado River. The park is currently 600 kilometers long, with stops for short hikes, photo opportunities and street food.

Drive to the Grand Canyon, off Highway 66, and stop in the town of Seligman. After arriving at Grand Canyon National Park, prepare to marvel at the six-million-year-old erosion of the Colorado River. When you consider its dimensions – 450 km long, 630 km wide and 1600 meters high – the title ‘big’ is justified. You will spend two nights here allowing a full day of exploring tomorrow. Explore the park’s grand scale by hiking up the hill, or if you’re feeling energetic, hike through the canyon to stretch your legs. Stay in a well-dug area near the park.
Today is a free day to explore the Grand Canyon in all its beauty. Hike the South Rim Trail or hike down to Plateau Point. In the afternoon, relax on the canal and enjoy the sunset over the wonders of the world.

Exit the Grand Canyon and cross the desert of western Arizona to the number one crime city: Las Vegas. Vegas may be known for its casinos and nightlife, but there’s plenty to do if gambling isn’t your thing. Hit the shops, see the international shows, feel your excitement on rooftops, or stroll down Freemont Street and immerse yourself in this neon-filled city. If you’re planning to see a show, remember that tickets to the show sell out fast, so make sure you book before your trip starts.

With another day in Las Vegas, go ahead and explore all of the above. Foodies may want to check out one of the famous chef restaurants around town (Giada De Laurentiis, Gordon Ramsay and Wolfgang Puck are all here). Check out America’s Eiffel Tower, check out the Bellagio Market or visit one of the wacky museums out there. If you haven’t gone out the night before, talk to your tour guide about Sin City’s best shows, clubs and restaurants, and how to rent a limo for the night. You can all go to Las Vegas, right?
Get out of Sin City and into the Sierra Nevada Mountains today in search of greener pastures. Located in the Sierra Nevadas between the Central Valley and Death Valley, a scenic drive will take you to the town of Bishop, where you will spend the night and visit nearby hot springs. In town, you might visit Erick Schat’s European bakery for dessert, or tomorrow for coffee and cake on the way to Yosemite.
Scenic Los Angeles To San Francisco Drive
Drive west into the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to your destination: beautiful Yosemite National Park. Touring Mono Lake, your private vehicle will drive over Tioga Pass (weather permitting) and past scenic spots like Tenaya Lake and Olmstead Lookout, where you’ll see one of Yosemite’s most famous landmarks – Half Dome. You will spend three nights in Yosemite National Park with two free days to explore at your own pace.
During the months from November to June Tioga Pass is sometimes closed due to snow. During these months we have to find another route because the route is closed making it impossible to pass through the Eastern Sierra.
Today is free to explore the wonders of the park. One of the most famous national parks in the United States, Yosemite has large boulders, beautiful waterfalls and redwood forests that attract visitors from all over the world. The group leader will guide you in the best direction from the village, before leaving you to spend the day of your choice. There are many bikes available, varying in climbing style and difficulty. Cruise down the icy waters of Nevada (4-5 hours) or Mirror Lake (45 minutes). Watch out for monsters and bears on the road. It’s a good idea to rent a bike and explore Yosemite Valley. Go to the park
