Ten Mba Students Awarded As 2021 Hawes Scholars
This is the fifth year that Honeywell has sponsored this scholarship program. In addition to serving Hanoi University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and PetroVietnam University, this scholarship also covers students from Da Nang University of Science and Technology.
Five students from each university will be offered a cash scholarship. In addition, four of the scientists will complete internships at the U.S. research and development campus of Honeywell UOP, a recognized world leader in petrochemical processing and technology. Chemical engineering students selected for internships will improve their skills through direct involvement with UOP technology.
“This scholarship program not only funds these students’ education, but also gives them the opportunity to work side-by-side with our engineers and experts,” said Jim Rekoske, Honeywell UOP vice president and chief technology officer. “Our program will partner with Vietnam’s leading universities to invest in the next generation of Vietnamese scientific and research talent, which will benefit the country’s refining, gas processing and petrochemical industries for years to come.”
