AFTER-COLLEGE AACN proudly supports students by offering scholarships. This award is for students pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in nursing. This fund gives special consideration to students who will become nurse educators, complete their RN-to-BSN, and RN-to-MSN programs, as well as students entering an accelerated program. The scholarship is worth $2,500 and is awarded quarterly. Winning students must attend an AACN member school. The Career Mobility Scholarship is for members pursuing a BSN or advanced nursing degree. There are four (4) annual scholarships of $5,000. Applicants must have been full members for at least two years at the time of application. She used her education in nephrology nursing to develop her leadership skills and develop a specialty focused on providing excellent patient care. Parker served nurses by providing specialized education, access to research, and excellent facilities for professional development. Additionally, she was a founding member and charter chair of the Commission on Nephrology Nursing Certification from 1986 to 1987 and was the ANNA Chair. He sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Nephrology Nursing and lends his experience and passion for education. Editor of the first edition of the Textbook of Contemporary Nephrology Nursing. Janelle was well respected by her nursing colleagues and was a friend and mentor to many nursing students.

DSA is very proud to offer a variety of scholarships through endowments and memorial funds. The scholarships are funded by donations from individual members, lodges and sister districts in Denmark. These scholarships and grants are not supported by any membership fees. Elizabeth Gard National Scholarships are available to members aspiring to a career in nursing or another medical field. Students must be post-high school or graduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. This one-time scholarship is open to any current member or their children, regardless of age.

The Mildred Nutting Nursing Scholarship is one of DAR’s many scholarships. Daughters encourage and support the education of their members. This scholarship is available to those pursuing a nursing degree. Fellows must be able to show financial need as well as an acceptance letter or current transcripts from an accredited nursing institution. For this particular scholarship, preference is given to a student from the Lowell, MA area of the country. This is a one-time scholarship awarded to two (2) students each year.
