US News & World Report has released its 2023 Best Schools list, naming the graduate and professional programs at the University of California San Diego among the best in the country. The rankings ranked nine of the top 10 college graduate programs in the country. UC San Diego is currently ranked No. 1 for doctoral students studying behavioral neuroscience, up three spots from last on the 2017 list.
In its latest 2023 report, the magazine also praised the diversity of program choices across campus. The university’s programs in mathematics and geophysics both rank sixth in the U.S., with economics ranking seventh, neuroscience ninth, and genetics 10th.
The list named UC San Diego’s Jacobs School of Engineering 10th overall in the nation and sixth among public engineering schools. Additionally, the bioengineering program at the engineering school is ranked fourth in the nation. The School of Computer Science ranked eighth in its category.
