The law school offers a one-year program for foreign lawyers pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. The program is designed for people who have completed a basic law education and have obtained a law school degree in another country. Students can choose courses designed to develop knowledge in specific areas of law – such as commercial law, environmental law or comparative law – or tailor a course of study to suit their personal and professional needs.

The UA School of Law is ranked among the top 10 law schools in the country by US News & World Report. LL.M. degree, the student must be at the University of Alabama School of Law for two semesters and register for at least 24 hours of work during the academic year. Courses and seminars are conducted individually under the guidance of “support” and program director Dan Joyner. To earn the degree, students must maintain a grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in all courses and seminars.
