University Of Florida Honors Program – The University of Florida Honors Program Q&A offers high school and undergraduate students the opportunity to learn more about our program and the benefits of being a member of our community. This session offers an in-depth opportunity to learn about the UF Honors Program from the Director, who will discuss the benefits of joining our community. You will get a chance to hear from current students about their life in Honours.

As an Honors faculty member and longtime leader at UF, Dr. Apply his skills in the Honors department, classroom and beyond. Known for integrating diverse interests into professional success, students have many opportunities to work with Dr. Explore Law through courses such as “Engineering in the Renaissance” and “Waitress, Pies and Life.” He has degrees in Electrical Engineering and was an associate producer for the shows “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic” Off-Broadway and “Slava’s Snowshow” on Broadway.

Before becoming Director, he held the position of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (2009-14) and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering (2003-09) in the College of Engineering. He has a B.S. from Iowa State University in 1981 with honors, an M.S. from Stanford University in 1982 and a Ph.D. from Stanford in 1988. He was named a UF Research Fellow in 1998. students and has taken in $25 million in funding during his career.

Cosette Brown, from Cocoa, FL, is a 4th year student in the University of Florida Honors Program studying Health Education and Behavior, with a minor in Health Disparities in Society, and is currently majoring in pre-medicine. He plans to take two years and then go to medical school to become a cardiologist. Cosette is passionate about teaching others, whether through her extracurricular clubs or just by word of mouth; in her free time she likes to record music for her church, learn new languages, and is always traveling the world on a new adventure!

Ally Fleischer, of Palm City, FL, is a third-year honors program student pursuing a dual degree in criminology and family, youth, and community science with a minor in leadership in the pre-law track.
