We also agree that words are not enough. We must ensure that our institutions provide support, resources, and programs that increase access to all aspects of higher education for our Indian students, staff, faculty, and community members. Applicants may be accepted if they meet the requirements of the college or program to which they have applied and the major they wish to enter.
Transfer applicants are considered for admission based on an individual evaluation by the colleges to which they are applying. In total, transfer applicants must have completed (or be completing) at least 26 semester credits at the time of application. It is rare for students enrolled in the first term of college to be accepted for the spring semester.
How To Complete The Golden Gopher Application If You Are An Undocumented Student
Individual colleges and programs evaluate each application using the academic evaluation criteria and factors listed below, in addition to the program-specific criteria described in the next section. These criteria include course requirements and credit requirements for the college or program.
Because the greatest predictor of college success is preparation, the strongest consideration in this decision is the student’s academic record. Most successful transfer applicants must meet the high school readiness requirements listed below. Both high school and college programs will be evaluated for compliance with high school readiness requirements. Curiosity is what drives us to discover. At the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, you are considered a freshman if you are still a high school student (even if you have college credit from a program like PSEO or AP) or if you have not enrolled in any college after from secondary school. . Freshman can apply and learn more at z.umn.edu/apply. No essays, letters of recommendation, or official transcripts are required to apply. All students with complete applications by the January 1 deadline are automatically admitted to the University’s academic and honors programs. We also offer November 1st Late Action or December 1st Early Action II.
