Out-of-state students should consider direct or UT-related study abroad programs instead of exchanges. These programs are often less than the cost of attending UT.

Although we strongly encourage students to study abroad for a semester or academic year, we recognize that some students will prefer to study abroad in programs of shorter duration. With that in mind, the Programs Abroad office offers much shorter summer or summer programs. Many of these programs are very affordable, but be aware that scholarships and other financial aid may not apply to programs that are less than a semester long.
