The Wells Fargo Center announced that approximately 3,100 fans will be allowed to attend the Flyers and Sixers games starting March 7, with different rules in place. For example, face masks are required at all times, everyone must complete an on-site self-assessment questionnaire before scanning their tickets (all of which will be digital) and entering the building, and physical distance of at least six feet must be maintained. .

“In accordance with state and local laws, NHL and NBA guidelines and our strict health and safety regulations, the Wells Fargo Center will initially be able to host approximately 3,100 fans for Flyers and 76ers games,” the venue said in a press release. release. “Today’s announcement comes after months of collaboration with state and city health officials, extensive science-based research into the reopening of similar fields, and input from leading medical experts. Even with this limited capacity initially, hundreds of part-time workers will be brought back to work for every Flyers and 76ers home game.”

Even without the fans’ ability to fill them with cheers (and boos) this season, the Sixers have been amazing at home. They went 15-3 in Philly, posting a 113.4 offensive rating and a 107.3 defensive rating +6 net rating (6th best mark in the NBA).
The Sixers have their final game before the NBA All-Star break on Wednesday, taking on the Utah Jazz at home. They next return home on March 14 against the San Antonio Spurs, which will be the first game Sixers fans can return to the Wells Fargo Center.

*Broad Street Carvery, Section 120: Get a delicious Braised Short Rib or Cracklin’ Skin Porchetta and Beer Sandwich at this shop. Dogfish Head and Yards are under construction, as are PBR and Miller High Life. All in all, one serious place to eat.
*Chickie’s and Pete’s, Sections 102, 204, 216, Pavilion: Local franchise Chickie’s and Pete’s famous Old Bay-smothered fries are available here with white cheese dip. They also have chicken fingers and chicken nuggets.

*Campo’s Cheesesteaks, Pavilion: Campo’s version of the cheesesteak is no slouch either. In addition to the signature sandwich, Campo’s has mozzarella cheese, onion rings and a Flyers Ice sandwich.

*PJ Whelihan’s, Section 119: The WFC outpost of the PJ Whelihan’s chain has many of the same items from their original offering. They have loaded fries, boneless wings and a decent selection of local beers.
Season’s Pizza, Sections 102, 114: While the pizza at Season’s Pizza is decent, it’s the sloppy Chicken Parm sandwich we always get at the ballpark.
Fan Sections 104, 110, 116, 122: Fan favorites fill the arena and have a large menu. These stands include smoked sausage, hot dogs, popcorn, candy, nachos, Jack and Jill ice cream, chocolate dipped ice cream, and peanuts.

The Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers, plans to open a brand new $50+ million club level in the fall.
Officials say the club’s new level will focus on honoring Philadelphia’s sports and entertainment past and featuring the latest technology and entertainment experiences.
Wells Fargo Center To Welcome Sixers Fans Back After All Star Break
“The new Club Level at the Wells Fargo Center will celebrate the historic sports and music moments that happened right here on South Broad Street as we look to the future,” said Valerie Camillo, president of the Wells Fargo Center, in a press release. “When we decided to transform the Wells Fargo Center, we tried to balance respect for our history and culture with the goal of modernizing the arena to meet the expectations of our guests. The Team Level redesign is the latest phase of our efforts to provide unique amenities, technology and guest services – while never losing sight of what makes Philadelphia sports the best in the world.
“The decor, designed by The Rockwell Group., will combine the history of Philadelphia sports teams with traditional symbols and lighting reminiscent of a pub,” Aramark said in a press release about the new restaurant. “With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Philadelphia skyline, the restaurant will seat up to 300 fans and offer a full menu of American cuisine, all with a direct view of the action on the field or ice. Additional details of the offering and design will be released later this summer. “
Two additional themed bars will also debut this fall. One will honor the legacy of the former home of the 76ers and Firers, the Spectrum, and the other will focus on the sports and entertainment history of the Wells Fargo Center.
The new Club Level will debut in a new retail space with exclusive items only available to Club Level and Suite guests. The retail store will rotate between Flyers and Sixers games. The store will feature a mix of high-end brands and custom clothing from local tie-dye designers.
