Morton’s neuroma is a “pinched nerve” classically between the third and fourth toes. This is usually the result of compression of the metatarsal bones or long bones of the foot as a result of wearing poorly fitting or too tight shoes. Affected individuals usually feel a burning pain between the toes, as well as occasional sharp pains in the fingers.
