What Does The Bible Say About Caring For Animals
Allah commands children to honor their parents. When did your parents stop being your parents? Well, never. We must respect our parents throughout our lives, even take care of them when they need it.

There are some suggestions that we will come to later, but if your parents need your help and you can do it financially, then you are encouraged to do so.
Start children on the way that should be, and even when they are old, they will not deviate from it. Proverbs 22:6
Helping your family financially includes providing for your children when they are young. It also includes training them in the way God has commanded. We train our children to work hard, treat others with kindness and give.
Training children in Bible principles around money is the best way to help them grow into independent adults.

Of course, their monetary decisions will be their own, but if you can teach them the lessons you’ve learned, hopefully their mistakes will have less impact on their financial future.
Anyone who does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his own household, is an apostate and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8 If a woman of faith has widows in her care, she must continue to help them and not burden the church with them, so that the church can help widows who are really in need. 1 Timothy 5:16
The first verse here is sometimes used as a weapon between family members to guilt others into giving them money.
Paul instructs believers to care for family members—namely, widows—who need help. But some families who can’t do that expect the church to take care of the widow.
Beautiful Bible Verses About A Parent’s Love For Their Children
Here’s the thing: Yes, churches help widows and those in need, but often the resources to do so are limited. Shouldn’t they help people who have no one else to help them?
Take care of themselves, you have no obligation to take care of them, but you can encourage them in contentment and hard work.
2. It is not a good idea to lend money to family members. Don’t be one of those who make promises, guarantee debts. If you have nothing to pay, why should your bed be taken from under you? Proverbs 22:26-27
Co-signing is one of the most common requests from family members. This is not a great idea for several reasons, the most prominent of which is that you risk the well-being of your own household.
Bible Verses About Being Valuable
As a result, signing a loan is the same as lending money to a family member. Just say no.
It is clear from scripture that God is not a big fan of guilt. But what about the family? Is it wise for family members to lend each other money?
Whenever a loan is arranged in a family, the relationship between the two parties changes. You move from family relationships to the dynamics of loan lenders.
If you loaned your brother money, how would you feel if he took an expensive vacation before paying you back?
God Never Said That… God Wants You To Be Happy
The relationship will probably break down on both sides – you will be upset that your money is not returned to you, and your sibling may feel guilty that he never paid you back, so he stops talking to you altogether.
But if a situation arises where someone needs help, and you have the means to do so, you can always do it
If you decide to lend money to a family member, it is a good idea to have a written agreement with a clear repayment plan so that you both understand the expectations.

But this book shares how we can do our part with what He has entrusted to us to be in a position to work miracles.
3. Giving to the family is good. “In everything I do, I show you that with this kind of effort we must help the weak, remembering the words that the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'” Acts 20:35
As Christians, we are encouraged to give generously. There are so many benefits to becoming free of our abundance. And yes, this can also be family members.

Even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “Those who do not want to work do not eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10
Cast Your Cares On God And He’ll Sustain You
Yes, we can give money to our family members, but we should also encourage them to support themselves if possible.
It is unfair for grown children to regularly ask their parents for money to cover expenses when they are not ready to get a job and take care of themselves.
Because we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing from it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be satisfied with them.1 Timothy 6:7-8
There are several Bible verses about contentment, but this is usually the first one that comes to mind. If your family members really need help with food, clothing and shelter, we can definitely help them.
Comforting Bible Verses To Remember God’s Care
But if they ask for money for non-essentials and/or are not ready to support themselves, you have no financial obligation to give them money to pay for those things.
