God teaches children to honor their parents. When did your parents give up on you? Well, never. We must respect our parents throughout our lives, including taking care of them when they need it.
There are some caveats to this that we’ll get into later, but if your parents need your help and you can do it financially, we encourage you to do so.
How Do You Balance Leave And Cleave With Honoring Your Parents?
Start children on the right path, and even when they are old they will not turn from it (Proverbs 22:6).
Helping your family financially includes supporting your children when they are young. It also includes training them according to God’s commandments. We train our children to work hard, be kind to others and give.
Teaching children biblical principles about money is a great way to help them become independent adults.
Of course, their financial decisions are theirs to make, but if you can let them know your lessons, hopefully their mistakes will have less and less impact on their financial future.
