Wilderness First Aid Course Maine – Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and life support skills. It is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts for day trips or short adventures. The course is led by professional lecturers with experience in patient care abroad.
This course is traditionally scheduled over two days or 16 hours of instructional and hands-on time. Upon successful completion, students receive wilderness first aid and THREE years of adult CPR certification.

Other uncategorized cookies are those that have been analyzed and are not yet categorized. The recertification course is open to those who have completed a wilderness medical course of 64 hours or more with a current Wilderness First Responder certification.
Solo Wilderness First Aid Afloat
Successful completion of this course will earn you Wilderness Medical Association CPR, Anaphylaxis, and BLS/Paramedic certifications. WMA WEMT riders with current EMT-B or Paramedic certification can certify the wilderness portion of the WEMT with this course.
This course is offered 24 hours a day for three days. In general, the mornings are dedicated to lectures, discussions and quizzes, and the afternoons are dedicated to open practicals and scenarios. Evenings are reserved for studying and assignments. Expect rescue scenarios with simulated casualties and injuries to prepare you for emergencies abroad. Sessions can be video recorded for better learning.
All students who complete this course will be certified in Wilderness Medical Associations International Wilderness First Responder, Anaphylaxis and CPR at the BLS/Health Care Provider level. These certificates remain valid for three years. This certification may be used to pass the DOT first responder exam at the discretion of the local or state EMS agency.
